When it comes to heating systems, we’re always thinking about efficiency and the cost of gas and
oil fuel. We keep up with new technologies and ways of helping you save energy.
Air source heat pumps have been making their way into the Northeast. Air source heat pumps are air conditioning systems (or your refrigerator) in reverse to heat your home in the winter as well as cool it in the summer. The mini split systems are now running down to -13 degrees. That means all winter long they can serve as your heating system; with enough heads your whole house can be heated without burning oil or natural gas. Or with one or two heads, cut your fuel bills in 1/2.
One of the possibilities of heat pump use, is to be powered by solar voltaic power system. In this situation, your heating is accomplished entirely through the use of the sun.
Efficiency can be improved through:
Annual cleanings just 1/16” coating of soot can result in 20% decrease in efficiency.
Improving the efficiency of an existing system or installing a new one.
Heat Management Controls that cut down the run time of your equipment.
Outdoor reset control or Weather Responsive Controls that control the temperature of your heating system in harmony with the temperature outside. The colder it is outside the warmer your heating system runs; and the milder it is outside, the cooler your system runs.
